while im making the beat the sample will play in full, but when i lay down drums it will only play like, 50-75% of the whole sample.
i have 16mb of ram, untill next week when my upgrade comes in.
thanks!

check the Params on your programs for MONO vs. POLY

and also check in the manual about NOTE ON vs. NOTE OFF

mute groups would also be a good read

same exact problem riceguru. in addition to the mono and poly, check to see if your drum samples are trimmed most efficiently so there's no overlap without changing it to mono. remember the 1000 only has 32 notes of polyphony, the reason it's happening is that there's more than 32 "notes" triggered or sensed by the unit (even if you only hear like 6 or 7) so it cuts out the sample. deleting all empty tracks so they appear as "unused" rather than the track number is a good idea too.

I'm not new to this at all, i've already looked into all those "Cap_Ill" thanks though.

I guess Vyrus has a good theory, i deleted the Hats and just left basic drums and now the whole sample plays.
weird huh? haha. I'm running JJOS btw

guru, i'm sure you can have the hats play while you're samples play. chances are unless you have loads and loads of tracks, you prolly aren't using up 32 notes at the times when it cuts out. at the very point(s) the initial track was cutting out, see if there's something specifically being triggered on that beat or tick to cause it. that might be the 33rd note. this problem wont be fixed with a memory upgrade either guru as you know this is a polyphony issue. hope you get that sample workin with the hats.
