2 sides to every sample

there are a few samples i have, forgot where i got them, and how i managed to plug up the cords that day, but here's the thing

some of my samples have no signal on one side. When you toggle left/right when looking at the samples, one side is just a flatline.

is there a way to copy the left "side of a sample, and flip it so that it's got something in the left and right? if not, what are other approaches that may work? ( i have thought to record to tape with headphones and resample)

I might be missing something but I don't see the point in having a stereo sample that is exactly the same on both sides. Why not just make it mono?

Your first recording may have been from a usb port and it not have the levels straight from inside the computer file. It will sound fine comming out and you will record it and see the vu meters are l/r. But I have found and still can't figure out how to get it to the l/r so I used my head phone jack on computer and all came out as it was supposed to. But IF you want to keep that sound because you can't get original, just try to record it to another source and either use the other source for the mono or going back into the MPC to record in mono. Long way to travel but a possible fix.
