Button Response Problem MPC 1K

The down arrow button on my mpc doesnt work all the time.It basically just works when it wants.I have to push it down alot or really hard for it to work.Has anyone else had this problem with any of their buttons?What could I do about this?

it sounds like your button is broken. my advice would be to get it fixed.

there are tutorials on youtube showing how to take the mpc1000 apart - i would do this, take a look at the buttin, clean the contacts etc and see if that fixes it.

if DIY ain't your thing, get it repaired by a professional.
