mode button not working

since a few minutes my "mode" button is not working anymore.
the mode LED is not lighing up nore is the menu reacting to the button. just nothing.
i had this problem before, once. but after a few minutes the button started working again. beginning with a few button hits working, later then nearly normal again. and then for 2 months everything was fine. until today.

i waited, turned the mpc off and on again, tried to hit the button several times, but: nothing. i think is broken completely right now

i am SO PISSED!
everybody is talking about broken pads but a broken mode button makes your mpc totaly useless! i can't even load or store programms, edit or anything!

i guess i have to send it to repair, hope this won't cost too much...

you can order 100 tact switches from ebay for very cheap and solder it in yourself. takes 20 minutes, tops.

the soldering is not the problem. buttons of same kind are in my parts-box.

but i don't get THESE F***ing cables released from the buttons-pcb!!! >_<

ha! i fixed it!
the connectorcables were quite powerfull fitted in their jacks, i had to pull them out with a screwdriver.
then there was a blue ribbon cable, which was quite fragile! carefully tu pull out... but worked.

and is working again.
happy again!
