Help with loading samples/programs on mpc and pc

Would like to start off by saying thanks for all the help that everyone has provided to everyone else.... reading through these posts has taught me a lot. I do have one question that I was hoping someone could answer (hopefully without being flamed)

I have a TON (about 60gb) of samples/loops on my pc that I would like to send to the mpc. I would like to make the programs on bluebox on my pc, then just send the pgm files over to mpc, and have the sounds load up. Do I need to have the files in the same name/directory on mpc as I do on my pc for this to work? Is there a better/easier way to go about doing this? I have so many sounds, i'm torn on how to categorize them on the mpc for easy finding. When you have 200 different snare hits, things can get confusing. I have a 100gb hard drive in the mpc, so I'd like to fill it up with sounds I have on pc, and keep them synced with one another.... but don't want to fish thru hundreds of folders on the mpc to find the sound I'm looking for. Would rather pull it up on pc and make a pgm, and shoot it over.

Am I over thinking this, or am I going about this all wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have many sounds on PC also, but I only pull what I need on the MPC. How do you organize your files on the PC? Folders right. It's the same on the MPC, except the program file has to be in the same folder as the sounds/samples.

My suggestion is to create a basic set of folders on the PC. Label them by sound type, Kick, Snare, Bass, Piano etc.. Now make 1 folder called "MPC Sounds". Drop all the Labeled folders in the "MPC Sounds" folders. Now search through your sounds and find your favorite kicks, snares, basses, piano keys etc... and out them in the folders according. Now open the Bluebox program. Create your programs like this: Kick, Snare, Bass, Piano etc... **Be sure to use the sounds in the newly created "MPC Sounds" folder. ** This way, when making a beat on the MPC, you can create a new track and just go to the appropriate program for the track.
Anyway...when you're done making the programs save them on the appropriate folder...Kick Program in the kick folder, Snare program in the snare folder, etc... Now that you've finished, just load the "MPC Sounds" folder into the MPC.

Just because you have 200 snare hits don't mean you have to save them all on the MPC. Use 2-12 sounds of each. Take any one of the sounds after loaded into the MPC and use the tools on the machine to alter and filter and process to sound to something different but usable.
