Hi,
I am just getting to grips with my MPC but its hard work every time I start her up and have to scroll through hundreds of samples to get to the program and sequences I am working on. I've tried hoking it up to my laptop, but it displays the files in a different order. My attempts to use the folder function has made the files unaccessible.

What is the best way to save my work so its easliy accessed next time? Whats the difference between using a HD and the CF card I have?

I'll apprecieate any advice you have.

Cheers,

C

Save each project to it's own folder. This keeps things really organized. :D

get the hd fitted, the cf cards are alright for moving files between locations ie,to another mpc...other than that i find them a bit of a pain in the arse,i can never get the bloody things into the slot, with the hd i can just select make new folder and then save entire memory to the new folder, this way its easy to file and find stuff....and with 80Gb you're not really going to be running out of memory any time soon

When I tried doing this I realized the MPC1K could not locate the SEQ file inside the folder and so I had to place the SEQ files outside their respective folders. In other words the PRG and WAV files are in a folder and the SEQ file is outside that folder.

Has this happened to anybody else or am I the only one...?
