Has Anybody tried the "Nym pad fix"

My pads are crappy on my 1000 (as everyone knows!!) and i'm considering getting the "pad fix" but i want feedback comments before I shell out a buck-fifty...

sorry to disappoint but the pad fix is on hiatus until akai's alleged pad fix is released. depending on their price and their hardware, i may or may not continue production. i say depending on their price because i hope to force them to price their pad fix competitively if they want people to actually purchase their (overpriced) fix.

regardless, i do plan to make molds of the mpc500 and 2500 pads so i can create different colored pads for those machines. likewise for the 1000 if akai releases a solid sheet pad fix.

Is that official? I searched around (here and google) and the only thing I could find was the thread where the guy at vst said he should wait until akia's fix.

Ok, there are so many posts and long threads that I can't keep track.

It looks like akai has promised a pad fix... Any idea what the eta on that is? Is that an actual commitment or simply something they said to respond to critics?
