Mpc 1000 and Triton extreme

Is there a way that i can midi my triton extreme and my mpc 1000 together and use pro tools as my sequencer, i want to do this so i can still play the sounds out of the triton like pianos and stuff with the keys instead of on pads, i wanna use the mpc1000 for drums and samples. i really wanna record it into pro tools so ican already have it on my computer and burn a cd. so if i can do this please somebody tell me how and where i can purchase the things needed to do this.

Yeah it can be done. Check the following thread it. I explain how I have my mpc 1000 slaved to protools. This way pro tools is the sequencer and I can record my sound from the mpc.

Now after following the directions in the thread, the only thing you need to do is connect your triton to the mpc. Buy dual midi cables. Connect to the midi out from the triton to midi in of the mpc. Now connect the midi in of the triton to the misi out of the mpc. Now on the MPC main screen, turn on the midi but turn off the program when using the triton.
