Samples in directories

I moved some folders over from my computer to the MPC1000 that contain samples. When I try to load them I'm getting "FILE NOT FOUND!!" or something like that. When I hook it back up to computer and move the samples out of the directories and into the root directory I can load them fine.

Any reason the MPC doesn't like samples in subdirectories?

(I apologize if this has been posted and answered elsewhere in the forums...)

Is there a suggestion box that AKAI has that one can voice requests?

You should give more info about your problem. I don't know what you are trying to load: specific samples to pads, a previously saved program, or all seq and songs ...etc.

Assuming you want to load the samples one by one to pads:
I always make subdirectories and never had any problems. Maybe try to change the name of the directories. Maybe it is too long or contains special characters. I'm not 100% sure if it is going to solve your problem, but try it.
