ok so mpc stuff works? now if memory serves me correctly the midi notes that you dumped in pt is triggering the sounds from the motif so if you only have the midi note in pt you need to have them trigger back to the motif for the actual sound. thats tricky i usually just record the audio, i hope some one will chime in with more experience!

when you say you are dumping the audio as well, do you mean you have the audio outputs on the motif going into the inputs of your pro tools device? if not, you have to.

HOW DID YOU GET YOUR MOTIF CONNECTED TO YOU MPC 1000? AND DO YOU HAVE AN ES 6?

Set up midi clock, and slave the Mpc. Pro Tools controls the MPC the MPC controls the Motif. My exact setup currently.

Tip: You can do all your midi editing in the MPC. Just record the midi information from the Motif in the MPC.

just play the keys directly into the protools. another question, when im recording a pattern of keys in the motif it always comes in earlier than the mpc even if i press record and play at the same time. how do i fix that
