I just talked this cat I know into purchasing an MPC 2000xl off of ebay.
He didnt know how to use it so I went to drop some jewels on him. Anyway its been so long since I had used the 2000xl I had forgot about how them damn pads felt and I found myself growing jealous. I need pads! My number 5 pad requires me to stand up and lean into for it to trigger and forget chopping up anything. I've called akai and vst and Im tired of waiting.
Ever since Numark has taken over akai, it seems like numark has been taking from akai's piggybank and spending it on making better numark products. I havent heard anything bad about anything from numarks new products since the merge.
On some real sh"t! I own an Xbox 360 and for those of you who do too then you already know. Im on my 3rd unit due to an obvious flaw in their product. Before anyone could say anything bad about Microsoft, they extend their warranty on all of their units 1year and refunded customers in full who had paid for repairs before they had issued the warranty extensions. Then they go a step further and instead of repairing units they send out new and refurbished ones. Where I tip my hat to them is when recently I had to send my unit back in and the first thing you hear is a message saying that microsoft has extended their warranties 3years and will continue to send out refunds for repairs. They pay for the shipping
via UPS to and from their repair facilities which I have had a turn around thats less than 2weeks.
Cats are talking about the ps3 and the wii and all that but I stand by a company that takes such good care of its customers and takes responsibility for its actions on their own.
From day one it was said that Microsoft was losing money on the sales of the 360 (approx. $75 per unit) due to the cost of production. Yet and still they assume full financial responsibility for their mistakes which possibly is costing them hundreds of millions of dollars. It bothers me that Akai hasn't taken steps to do any of the simialar tactics.
Akai Man up! Nym stop bullsh?ting I need pads! Buy an XBox 360!
