Syncing MPC with Protools Temp Problems

I have the MPC 1000 and I have just sync the unit to Protools. When I hit play on protools the mpc is activated, but the tempo is very fast. I am unable to adjust the tempo and have it as the orginal setting as the MPC. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Settings of the MPC:

Active track recieve channel: 1
Soft Thru: off

SYNC

Sync in: 2
Sync out: off

Sounds like pro tools is controlling the mpc. Adjust the tempo in protools.
For example, if the sequence tempo is 80 in the mpc, make the tempo 80 in protools.

It was an easy problem after I spent hours trying to get the temp right. The tempo option was in front of my face under where the beats and bars are. Thank you for your help.
