Please help (advanced question)

okay, does anybody use Cubase to sequence instead of using the sequencer on the MPC? (but still use the MPC for the pads and as a sound source)

If so, have you worked out how to record MIDI information into cubase using the pads to trigger samples from the MPC?? (no keyboard controller..just the pads on the MPC)

Its annoying cause i've done MIDI IN and OUT of the MPC to MIDI OUT and IN of Cubase and i get this horrible MIDI feedback thing happening

i can trigger the MPC via MIDI in cubase using a keyboard controller but i would like to use the pads instead!

do you have the MPC set to slave via MTC? That causes me fits sometimes if the sequence was done in Cubase. Also, there's a passthru mode on the MIDI page I believe that you'll want to turn off. I'm not in front of my MP right now.
