once in a while ill be working on a song... ill be editing and out of nowear my sequence gets messed up... it goes blank after so many bars.. the notes will still be there but no sounds play after a certain bar.. but if i rewind a bar after the blank space the rest of the track will play... but not when i play intirely.. im very frustrated!!! whats wrong and what can i do ??? by the way i use akais os system ..... hellppppp

that's your problem.
akai 2.1 has a bug where if you use the "move" function in step edit, it "breaks" the sequence data. as you said, the notes remain, but will not play. you have to recreate the sequence in order to retrieve your lost work.

do yourself a favor and stop using the akai os.

it goes blank after so many bars.. the notes will still be there but no sounds play after a certain bar.. but if i rewind a bar after the blank space the rest of the track will play... but not when i play intirely.. im very frustrated!!!


many users are frustrated by akai's overwhelmingly buggy operating systems.

sorry to thread jack, just wanted to expand on this. i dont have an mpc1000 yet, but i'll be getting one in about a month. is the JJ OS buggy or is it way better then akai's OS? also since im gonna be a total noob going into beat making would the JJ OS be hard for me to understand and should i learn from the akais OS first then upgrade to JJ?

ive tried the free jj os.. it was dope exept for the click in the audio every loop or sooo... besides that once in a while it would crash showing up a wierd error with a bunch of code.... cash is tight so i cant upgrade... so i went back to akais os,,,,, I GUESS I BETTER SAVE SAVE SAVE SAVE SAVE .........................................................................................
