Maybe a Dumb Question But....

Well im getting my MPC1000 some times this week and you know how on Fruity Loops they have the piano roll feature. Well on the MPC1000 do they have a feature like that. If so how would you go about doing this? Thanks

There is a "note repeat" function that will hold and repeat the sample in the given time signature.

not really what you are looking for, the MPC will not in any way do the work for you like FL will but it will inspire you to find new ways to make beats.

so what is this 16 levels? im just asking is there a way to change the pitch or note of a sample?

you got 16 pads, and you can have 16 notes of a given sample. This is when you want to have them under your hand. But you can also adjust the pitch in a menu. If I remember well, it goes from -12.00 to +12.00.
