Just wondering if the 1000 will ever be able to use akai.sys? Is it a matter of a software upgrade, or does mass storage only mean what it says? Why not just use a card reader then? Still, seems like it beats that zip stuff... Thanks all

Keep saving, and I will have a mpc1000!

Don't believe it will ever be accessible via ak.Sys, though I wish it was.

"Why not just use a card reader then?"

I do all the time. It is much easier for me to move the card from the front of the MPC to the front CF slot on the PC, transfer, then back again than it is for me to stop my work, go into a special menu, press the appropiate tab, reach *behind* the MPC, connect the cable, transfer, disconnect cable, exit the menu and then go back to the spot I was working before in the MPC.

Try this address above, unless you're already aware of it :D

You might find this program maker useful. Using this software you can at least create programs (i.e. assigning samples to pads by auditioning & then drag n' droping audio files from your hard drive) on your computer before you load it into your MPC.
