Largest CF used in the MPC 1000

I know how large the manual says this machine supports, but i was wondering what is the largest CF card anyone has gotten to work in their machine?

And don't tell me to get a HD cuz i been had one... there are a lot of advantages to the CF card though.

I put a 4gb Ipod Mini Microdrive in my MPC1000 and it works great. It only formats it to 2gb though.

It's weird because when I formatted the same drive in my MPC500 it uses all 4 gb.

2 gb will give you 1,5 year of work, if you make the same amount of music as me
