I posted this in the HD thread but no response.

I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with this HD (Fujitsu MHS2040AT [40 GB])? It seemed to meet all the specs but I didn't see it listed in the HDs that people used and deemed as compatible.

P.S. I saw the MHNs and MHVs but no MHSs

Thanx yall

I mentioned to my brother that I was looking for a laptop HD for my 1000, and got a call from him today...

He was taking out the trash and found a laptop with a busted screen...

Now, chances are the HD inside will not be functional, but he snagged it anyway...

It's a 20 gb Fujitsu MHT2020AC

I'm not sure what the the differences are (except for the last "20" which is the size. )

I don't have the HD or the kit yet, but i'm willing to try this one...

Hope it works, 20 gb is Plenty big for me right now...

Hereo, I know you posted this awhile ago....did you get that one working, or did you have to get a different one?

Yoooo! It worked great for like a month, then it went dead on me outta nowhere. I got an 80 GB now. Works great. I did back up most of my stuff so not all was lost, but I did lose some small adjustments that I made to beats after the last time I backed it up. I'm now getting into the habit of backing up my drive everynight before I go to bed.

Good luck. And to purchase a new HD is a great investment that is just priceless.

Very True...even if this thing DOES work, there is NO telling what's on there that I'll have to take off...

Which 80 gig did you end up buying?
