how do i import wav files via usb from my laptop?

i'm using a sony vaio/windows xp and when i go into device manager/usb devices the mpc is not listed. is this a problem with my laptop. the usb cable is brand new so I don't think its the cable. my laptop is about 6 yrs old, but its recognized other "new" usb devices before like m-audio midi controllers, etc. I have no idea why it won't work. Am I doing something wrong? Please help, there is nothing on this topic in the manual.

You have to go into LOAD and then USB if you aren't doing that already.

If you are doing that, then try MOUNT -- I think its either F5 or F6, you'll see it on the load screen

thanks thedvs01, it worked, its installed on my laptop, but where do I drag the wav files? Is there a folder/icon of some sort?

u go to my computer, and u should it as a drive, just drag em, but wen disconnecting, saftley do it dont just pull it out, thats how ya shit gets corruptted
