another mpc problem

still getting used to this thing...anyways I have a drum beat going and i'm messing with the pads while the sequence is playing. And all of a sudden when I hit the 9 pad and the 10 pad the tempo of the track changes like I'm hitting the tap tempo button!!! I don't know how to stop it from changing the tempo and it's annoying the hell out of me. Anyone know what could be wrong?

it also happens when I hit pad 8. So pads 8,9, and 10.

I messed around with it this morning. Some more info... It only does it when I use the jj os. I loaded os v2.11 and the 8,9, and 10 pads didn't trigger a tempo change????
