HAVING PROBLEMS WITH RECORING MORE THEN ONE SOUND

WELL I HAVE A MOTIF ES 6 AND MY MPC CONNECTED. AFTER RECORING ONE SOUND ON TO THE MPC, EVERY SOUND AFTER THAT SOUND FUSED WITH THE FIRST ONE. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

Could it be that the MPC1000 is playing back your first take and you are adding another sound on top, thus adding another layer? So when you play the whole thing back you are actually hearing both takes? Maybe you just need the mute the first track... Maybe it's that simple...
