Hello everyone,
I bought an MPC1000 a couple of days ago.
I'm new to samplers. I had an sp-505 but mpc is beyond comparison.
Anyway.
Can you please help me with this:
Is it possible to assign a sample to a pad that is one shot type but loops.
I mean i want to play a sample with the footswitch assigned to pad 1 for example and not to have to hold the switch for the sample to loop. Just to hit the switch start the sample loop and the press again the switch to stop it. Is this possible? This means it should be one shot and loop on, but there is no option for looping in one shot mode.
I could assign the footswitch to play/stop a sequence but when it stops it want go back to the start of the sequence. And i dont have free hands on stage playing bass and singing and rewinding the sequnce the same time!
Which means if i want to start the sample again on the next chorus it will start from the middle.
So the ideal set up for a live performance i want is:
Assign footsw 1 to pad 1 and footsw 2 to pad 2.
Hit the footswitch 1 in the verse of the song and loop without holding the footsw pressed. Stop the sample hitting the footswitch again.
Hit the footswitch 2 in the chorus of the song with the same fumction.
Press footsw -> play sample loop (infinite times) -> press footswitch -> stop sample.
This function can be found on the boss sp-505 sampler (i had this before mpc1000) and it is called trig. I thought it was a feature on mpc1000 since its a pro sampler and it has everything.
Waiting for any suggestions.
thank you.
