hard disk

Is it true that if I install the internal hard drive, I can't use usb connection?

I don't understand.

I have 2500 right now and I can back up the datas to computers and put the datas in the mpc.

That review is obviously from someone who doesn't know what they're doing at all.

The MPC1000's USB port does allow you to transfer files to and from your computer using the hard drive and the CF card. Trust me, I know this is true. I've owned the MPC1000 since 10/10/2004 (that's 3 years as of tomorrow), plus I've installed the hard drive in January 2006 right after Akai OS version 2.10 became available.

Don't believe everything you read from online user reviews.
If the reviews aren't from inexperienced users, then they're most likely from someone whos working for Akai's competition (Roland, Korg, Yamaha, etc.) or someone who's a fanboy of said companies.
