Playing mpc 1000 sequences on computer

I am a new mpc 1000 user and would like to know how to play the sequences or songs ive created in the mpc 1000 on the computer. Ive downloaded audacity was that a step in the right direction? please let me know

Yes now take some RCA's or 1/4's and plug them into your mpc's stereo outs and then take the other end and plug them into your computer's soundcard or whatever sound interface you are using.

good lookin out on the info... should the ports on the sound card be oout in the open like usb ports or do i have to open the pc
