Triggering and the Pads.

(newbie here) I just snagged a 1k, and got things rolling with no issues. I noticed the pads are kinda hard (coming from a padKontrol), but that's something I can get used I s'pose... the problem is that I get what sound like double triggers at times. I played with various sensitivity settings on the pads, but it still happens.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Do you mean while you are trying to record if I you just press the pad at anytime? If its while you are trying to record I would suggest that you check your quantize settings. If its during normal play you may want to use the note on feature instead of one shot. Let me know what happens or if you were refering to something else

Yeah its like the pads are too sensitive...
It bugged me in the beginning...
But ive noticed that it mainly occures when the pads are pressed lightly...
That means that you have to bang your pads Hehe

That should be completely normal unless it triggers twice everytime you hit a pad.The term "expressive" pads means you can trigger the samples with the lightest touch.For example, when i'm playing drums on my mpc i can trigger kicks as doubles or triples.What happens is i hit a pad with my fingers twice or three times very quickly to get that effect.You will eventually learn how be a drummer with your fingers.Just wait a month or two when your pads die and you'll be complaining about how you wish they were sensitive again.

Well thats exactly what it does..
you hit the pad with a lighter tuch because you want to.. and it triggers twice... thats is really anoying. unless it is what you want...

Ive replaced some pads... its really frustrating when the pads are dead
