None of the stores near me which 'stock' the MPC1000 have any in stock, and so before I buy one, I've got some questions that I hope someone can help with (I've owned an MPC2000 and an MPC2000XL in the past).
- I know the 1000 can sample it's own output, internally. Can anyone confirm if it can sample from the analog or digital inputs while playing back a sequence ? ie. can you feed the output of the 1000 through an external effects box and record it back in; or sequence a synth with the 1000 and sample that sequence ?
- when layering samples on a pad (up to 4, right?) can their velocity ranges overlap ? ie. could you sample and loop a synth sound, recorded at 4 different filter settings (for example) on the synth, and then fade betweem those 4 looped sounds by varying the pressure on the pad ?
thanks for any answers.
