MPC1000 and Korg TR Workstation.Synth and my Two Step Help!?

Hey what's up guys, I have recently acquired a Korg TR Workstation to compliment my MPC 1000 with some nice synths but I have a problem. I would like to tie the devices together via the MPC's MTC or setup a simple midi array so that the sound modules of each device function sepearately but on the MPC's cue. I think that's the way most people do it? I have a Mixer availible and would like to import the raw tracks into my cubase sx3.. but I'm stumped on syncing. If anyone can provide a quick rundown or tutorial I'd be happy. P.S right now I'm using the most recent Akai OS, but would be willing to switch to J.J's If it makes syncing the device easier..or is better in general.

I would deff get the JJ OS. No Question. As far as having the TR and the MPC synced I'm not sure about the MTC thing. Well, I'm not clear on whether or not you care which sequencer records the midi data.
I myself have my MPC record the midi info and control the patches selected from the keyboard. The MPC is a great sequencer and I like having it keep track of my project as opposed to my keyboard. I turn on my keyboard and only touch it to choose patches. And I'm trying to find a way around that.

I actually am not too concerned with the mpc actually recording the mpc clock data or am I. I basically just want the keyboard to be in sync with the MPCs play/start tempo and other data while using it's own sound module..so that I can record to my mixer. Example:I want the MPC to have my preprogrammed layered and reverbed etc kicks/bass maybe even sampled material availible on the 16 pads, and all accompanying banks. Then on the keyboard I'd like it to have the keyboards sound module..synths etc that are already housed on the keyboard. Then I want to be able to record to each device seperately on the cue of the MPCs sequencer. Haha you follow me? To get to the base of it:

1) MODE+Pad 9
2) Press F2 (SYNC)
3) Cursor over to where it says Sync Out: and highlight OFF. Turn it once til it says A (Master) (if your MIDI B out is goin' into the TR MIDI in then change the Master to B
4) cursor down to Mode and change to MTC
5) cursor down to Send MMC and change to On

Make sure your TR is setup as a slave by MTC and you should be good.

I'd record the midi into the MPC and only use the MPC seq if I were you. That way you don't have to load 1 beat on 2 machines. If you put the MSB, LSB, and PC on the MPC it will save it and you'll only have to turn the TR on. Its just easier.
