problem with deleting files

Before everyone gets mad at me, i have looked on this board but can't find anything to help me, so...

I downloaded some sounds to my cf and loaded the sounds. some of the files will not play. i'm pretty sure they are not wav files. if i make a program and try to assign them to a pad, they don't show up. that's fine because i want to delete them. but the only place to see the file is from the load page. if i go into the sample page they are not there. so how can i delete them.
also should i not make any folders? i downloaded like 25 snares, 25 kicks, etc. and made a folder and put individual sounds in the there. then copyied the folder to the cf card. any suggestions.

there is ur problem right there mpc only reads .wav

Find out which file types you have as a first step and if you are lucky you maybe able to find a file type converter on the net to covert to wav.
