Hope someone can enlighten...
yo - yeah i've been getting into using all 6 outs. assigning essential drums -
kick snare hats - to 1,2,3, then bass on 4, and using stereo outs for other
samples.
i've got a couple of outboard delays - need to get another reverb.
i have a small soundcraft board with pretty musical eq's which are really
handy for mixing... i find its almost impossible to use the eq built into the 1000 to
any real effect. all that resampling just means you lose a lot flexibility later
in the process.
in terms of mixers though - firewire's a great idea, will save you time. but getting
a decent one is pricey... you can get those helix boards (which is behringer
i think... anybody?) but i'd say the eqs are probly crap and the pre-amps will
be wimpy... check it out though... test drive yo
might be better off going all analog. check out second hand soundcraft, allen
& heath, or newer yamaha mixers. they're all ok. behringer stuff is ok too,
but not amazing...
hope that helps some... depends how far into this you are. you can always
get something cheap and upgrade later. cheeeeeers
