I have just installed the latest JJ os on a new black mpc 1000 and after triming and slicing samples I can't seem to get more than one sample playing at the same time. Whenever I hit a new pad it cancels out any other sound making it useless!!!

Have I pressed something to change the polyphony or is it a glitch??

Also how do I switch back to the Akai OS so I can actually use the machine?

Thanks

1- there's an entire forum for jj os discussion. you couldn't have missed it, it was right below the mpc1000 forum.

2- programs made from a sliced sample are automatically set to mono. set it to poly. this question is asked once a week.

3- due to significant unresolved saving bugs in the akai os, the "actual use of the machine" feature is only currently available on the jj os.

detailed information on installing OS's is in the manual. but since the problem you're having with jj's os is due to user inexperience as opposed to an os error, stick with the better os. you'd regret it otherwise.
