Resample Output?

On the Akai homepage (http://www.akaipro.com/prodMPC1000.php) it says that the MPC 1000 'Can sample it's own output'.

I'd like to be able to 'bounce' down a song to a single wav on the MPC1000 and then transfer to my PC via USB? Will resampling allow me to do this?

I've checked the manual and searched the MPC forum but I still have not found any info on resampling.

Can someone point me to another post which covers this function? I assume you record a sample but make take the input from the MPC mixer.

Am I on the right track?

This text below is from the MPC manual chapter on 'Recording the Main Out'. Is this what is meant by resampling?

"01. Prepare the system so that you can play the desired
sound by hitting the pads or playing back the sequence.
The sound that the MPC1000 will actually record is exactly the same as the sound from the STEREOOUT. Before going back to the RECORD mode, set the program and sequence so that the desired sound will be output from the STEREO OUT.

02. Press the [MODE] key and then [PAD 5] (RECORD) to display the RECORD page.

03. Select the Input field and select MAIN OUT.
04. Select the Mode field and select STEREO or MONO.
05. Select the Time field and set the recording time.

that will do it, just play your sequence while in the record screen with 'main out' selected.

if you have enough ram to record in the first place (if you have the 128mb upgrade then you most likely will), then you can just save these bounced wav files to your cf card of hard drive then transfer it over to your pc

this is a great feature!
i add a 1/4 bar at the beginning of my seuqence, record a click sound at 01:01:00 and start recording the single tracks, one after another.
then i save and move them to my computer, cut everything before the click and put them into cubase. sounds EXACTLY like it came from my mpc.
