Whatsup Yall.

This is a rough version of what I am going to do for the final, but I am a firm believer in Function over Form.

Let me know what you think. It is not adjustable as of yet, but I'll probably go there soon.

Its not pretty yet NYM, but it is easy as hell to do.

I was still planning on making a fiberglass mold of the screen frame, then painting the entire unit after it all fits a bit better. The hole I cut is still Roto-Zip rough, but all in all, I am happy for the 2 hours I invested!

I like it. I was working on one with fiber glass but was having some trouble getting it squared right. I might just finish mine.

Yeah, I do have pics of the back... but its nothing to look at really. I can post them if you like.

I just used a square piece of ABS plastic and made square sections, (although mine had perpendicular ridges to run my razor blade down which made it nice.)

But you use this stuff just as easy with a strait edge...

Then I had to bend the [metal] stock screen mounts (closest to the F buttons) down a little, otherwise the front edge will be way too high. (it still kind of is, as you can see in the pics.)

I got out the roto-zip after I figured out all the pieces and measured the hole I needed to cut.... a little high temp hot glue to build the structure for the screen (less is more here folks, in case you f'up).... and a little more to affix it to the case.

I know its ghetto, and most you pretty boys wouldn't rock chopped up gear like I do, but honestly... Grow a pair if you cant build one of these front to back by now, and you are a regular user or "Expert Member".

(you can quote me on that; although, I'm sure you will anyway)

any car stereo install bay (that does anything semi-custom) should have it... It is 1/8th inch thickness.
