There is a bug in all AKAI OSes including 2.10 and previous that causes data corruption on your CF card or hard drive when saving. The only solution is to upgrade your OS. Here are your options:

1. Upgrade to the latest AKAI OS. It's free. Supposedly they fixed the problem in OS 2.11. I cannot vouch for this personally, but supposedly it's fixed. You can download 2.11 here:

2. The much better option would be to upgrade to the third party JJ OS, you will get a lot of great new features, and save corruption problems are fixed. The full version is only $30. It will be the best $30 you ever spent.
You can get more info about this OS in the JJ OS section of this forum, and you can download it here:

There is a free version you can try out (3.08 ) that fixes the problems you are having, and has a few new features. But you really should pay the $30 and get the full version (currently version 4.91). You will get more new features, and free upgrades forever, and you will love it, guaranteed.

Those are your only 2 options. The directory error bug was a huge problem that AKAI had in earlier OSes. The only fix is to upgrade.
