is there any way to sample from mp3s? sorry for this beginners question, any help would be great.

Couple of ways:


1. Plug an 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch splitter cable into your computer out and sample like that.

2. Convert the mp3 to .wav. Then you can either use the usb or a CF card to snatch it up and put it into your MPC

so is there a spot on my mac that allows a 1/4 inch to be put in to use as an out? er, the 1/8 inch plugged into the 1/4 inch splitter?

import ya mp3 into audacity, cut it, export as wav, dump onto mpc via usb. easy

if there isnt a slot you can always get the relavant adapters or converters

you can load mp3's straight into audacity.. no drag needed..

export ya loop as wav.. easiest method by far
