\/ \/ \/i posted this same thing in the 500 about the 500 but no one answered so i wanna know about 1000 cuz im kinda thinkin of gettin the 500 but i dont know the 1000 is tempting thanks :D

1.) i got M-Audio Studio Pro 3 monitors i wanna get a MPC1000....but could i just hook up the monitors into the MPC and get sound just like that?nothing else?

2.)say im makin a beat on the MPC1000 and say im workin on a sampled beat i finish it but i dont have a Baseline for the sampled track?and i gotta baseline in FL thats a soundfont (sf2)?would i wanna track out my beat from MPC1000 into a program like Cubase or whatever?and add a baseline with it there and export it

3.)if i gotta yamaha MIDI keyboard will i be able to hook it up to the MPC1000 and play my yamaha keyboard sounds into the MPC1000 and make a beat?

4.)I have FL7XXL and wanna now if theres any other way of using the MPC1000 besides as a MIDI controller?

5.)do i have to get whole new RAM or can i just use the ram that comes with the MPC1000 and get 2gig card?

1. Yes if you needed to. (read the manual)

2. your choice

3. research what midi does.

4. ummm yea it can be used as a sampler...

5. that varies on how much Ram your production demands. If you use a lot of samples then yes. If you make 1 bar loop beats then no.

Honestly bro all of these questions have been answered countless times on the forum. You really gotta make the effort to obtain the information. Oh and if your thinking of buying a 500 just read everything in the 1000 section then tell us when you buy your 1000. Peace

it sends MIDI messages but will i be able to work with it like a motif or not...thats all i wanna know :)

what about a whole song?i dont wanna spend money on RAM lol maybe im cheap but hey!does all MPCs have to "upgraded" with RAM? cause if some MPCs dont then i might as well get one that doesnt

If you want to use the MPC as a controller for the Yamaha look on the same page as this thread. There are about 2 on this page and i believe another 2 or 3 more on the previous page. I believe someone even mentioned a yamaha.

Honestly if you dont get the Ram youll be fine in the begining until you start really getting into a joint at about 3 am and you realize your maxxed out. Its one of those things where you just might as well save yourself the headache now and get it over with. and if you plan on doing even half of what some of the guys on this forum do then your DEFINATELY gonna need it.
