Can't Hear SOund When I record

what am i doing wrong I have the MpC 1000, and i have the stero out plugs hooked up to my soundcard on my pc, but im not hearing anything,
it shows that its recording on my software n i can see it trying to get the sounds out, but its quiet n i dont hear anything when i try and record it, i dunno whats up need help badly

i tihnk we need more info, it could be card related, Daw related yano

You need to say what software you are using. Im suspecting that if you are seeing signal into the software then you have a problem with your output configuration.

You may need to change the assignments.

Check the settings on your software/interface. See if you have it setup to monitor during recording, or have the outputs of the software assigned to the interface.

can you hear sounds if you have headphones connected to the mpc?
