i recently mentioned the possibility of using a prism ontop of the mpc1000 display as an easy means of tilting the the display to a more comfortable angle. if you dont remember prisms from gradeschool science class, heres the wikipedia entry on "prisms"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prism_(optics)

heres some links for prisms that can be bought online, ranging from plastic to crystal to glass, and from cheap to pretty spendy.
these can usually be found a science supply and teaching outlets, if you can think of any nearby that would let you try this on your mpc,
i would REALLY love to see someone succeed in this

i know how resourcefull you 1000 users can be, so lets roll this idea around a bit? if noone tried this, i will at a later time and let yous dudes know how it worked out, the only possible problems i can think of are if the prism were to mess the color spectrum up on the 1000 display (maby in a good way?) or if the angle were too high a degree of tilt

the real difficulty here is geting the right angle.
ideally there would be a little flux, ie a prism-on-a-hinge

not a bad idea at all...try it out and let us all know...im am not sure either about getting the right angle once its setup tho :?:

the only problem with using one prism is that the image will be inverted. two or more must be used.

edit: sorry i was thinking that you'd be using the reflective quality of a prism rather than the refractive qualities.

be aware that colours will be spilt giving the screen a rainbow look.
