Just Got an MPC 1000, having some dificulties, please help

well I got it yesterday and im still getting the hang of this thing. Here are my problems

1. whenever i load a sample from the record player, i can't chop it up and it says insuficient memory. does this mean that I have to update my ram. Can't i just delete all of the factory presets so I CAN chop up the sample. I read the whole manual and still can't figue out how to delete internal memory.

2. After completing a song, how do I ave it and then move it on to the computer.

3. I have a midi cable that goes from the mpc to the computer(its a mac) via usb. The problem is that my computer acts like nothing is plugged in to it. What can I do

4. When I record a sample from the record player, its a little fuzzy. Today I grounded the cable but its still fuzzy.

you read the whole manual in 1 day???
u need to re-read it slower, with the mpc in front of you

i read most of it wit hthe mc in front of me....there 2 was nothing in there saying how u can delete presets

To be honest, yes, you should get the ram upgrade

check around for the memory upgrade (ebay, etc). If you are'nt dead set on having the "AKAI" brand you can get it for around $30. Mine was $30 shipped from Pacific Memory in Harrisonburg, Va ... works like a charm

do u no if it will avoid my waranty if i update it with ram thats not from akai?
