g'day

just got the word from electric factory that new MPC pads have arrived today!

so if you don't wanna wait for overseas postage - hit up the parts dept.

[email protected]

haven't got prices yet, but email these guys, they should know soon.

and no i don't work for these suckas... i've just been hassling them everyday
for months now, and i though perhaps others would like to share in the fruits
of my numerous annoying emails and phone calls.

Thanks brethren, will shoot an email over there. Ive asked around a few equipment joints in Sydney, they didn't know about new pads being available at all. My current pads are still holding up however.

afternoon all...

well, electric factory has the parts, and are just waiting for AKAI to notify
them about a price point... basically until they know how much they're
expected to pay AKAI for them, they can't figure out how much they need
to charge.

The guy I spoke to today says he's taking orders and has about 16 people
hassling him for more info - so if you guys have emailed him they've heard
you, they just are up against the wall, waiting on AKAI to deliver...

...aren't we all?

I'll post again when I know more.

Cheeeeers

yeah no worries mate...

one good thing dude mentioned...

i said to him that the parts have been selling online for around US$200
and he said he reckoned they'd be selling them here for less than that...

not sure how that works... but i'm happy about it (considering akai should
be sending us all pads for nada)

Hey, do you know if they're selling the new MPC 1000's with the new pads installed? And if so for how much??
My preferred store here in Sydney are selling MPC 1000's for $1600 each but with the old pads.
I'm taking my first trip down to Melbourne next month. It'd be great news if I could pick up my first MPC while down there.
Thanks.

don't know sorry... logic tells me that until old stock is sold and new stock is
ordered, the old pads will be the standard... and even then, not all the new
models have the new pads so....

sixteen hunge is waaaaaay outta control... there's no need to pay that much.
pick one up second hand with fvcked pads, replace with new pads and you'll
be all sweet...
