Help plz

Could use some help just brought my mpc 1000 plug her in and turn it on and i get this error msg saying

MPC 1000 BootBlock Ver:1.03
Boot on SODIMM memory check mode
total memory size : 16MBytes
Check Memory........
pass 1: Failed(88000000)
The Problem was Found in the memory.
System hault......


And it goes no further.. I have the Flash card and its bran New

i dont no if theres something missing But under it u can un srew a panel and looks likes there meant to be something in there but there isnt? or is that and Add - on ...

Any help would be good..

I'm unsure, but it seems like the RAM is busted, return the MPC to the shop. The little door you find on the bottom is meant to upgrade your RAM to 128 Mb, but if the factory RAM (16 Mb) is defective I don't think ugrading the RAM would help.
