it may not hurt to place your order now in case they run out just as quick once they restock... i'm assuming you're talking about mpcstuff.com

and don't wait for the new pads to install the JJ OS... just go ahead & pay for it now and get familiar with it in the meantime.

My moneys are paid I think over a month ago to mpcstuff and I wouldn't want to take em' back and transfer them to vst. Damn, this is so f-cking annoying situation :?

I just got this email from VST in regards to me asking if they had the fix in stock:

"Wes,

Unfortunately I don't. We were told by Akai that they would be
shipping 2 weeks ago but I just found out that they still haven't even sent
them. I think the holidays are slowing things down so realistically we
won't have them for at least another week or more. We should get plenty to
go around so feel free to place an order and I'll ship it out as soon as we
get them.

Best Regards
Nicholas Lejeune
Virtual Sounds Technology"

So basicaly I still can't find anywhere that has them in stock at the moment

anybody know whether guitar center will/is carrying the pad upgrade?

By mckenic Fri Jan 04, 2008 3:40 pm
Yep - Im in the same boat... and I understand that its not mpcstuff.coms fault that the pad 'fix' hasnt been sent to them yet.

I ordered on the 29th Nov - and as there is no-one in Europe stocking this stuff I ordered a few bits and bobs for my 1000 - the thing thats been bugging me is Ive already been charged $276 and no gear yet...

Ok so they cant invent the stuff outta thin air - but my card has been charged for stuff I dont have yet. I asked before I ordered if I would be charged straight away or once the gear was in stock (like most companies Ive bought from) and so I knew I'd be charged straight away...

Its just a long wait is all - especially as another poster said - this was my Christmas present!

Anyway - hope they come soon - its not like we have a choice here in Europe - and again Im not blaming mpcstuff.com - just bitchin :)

god hates me.

Hey narkotiq!

Im newish here so its great to meet another Irish person!!! I think the MPC is an undiscovered gem over here

I'll have to message you the next time Im getting gear - we might be able to put an order together!

I usually get my shit from thomann.de - very quick and no import tax - your right tho for MPC stuff Europe in general sucks! How do I go about becoming an mpcstuff.com distributor

Hope your new 1000 comes before the weekend - first time we had snow in ages and it stops your delivery  not cool!

Do you know if your getting the new pads with your new MPC? Let us know how you get on?

Peace!

no probs home boy good lookin out.

the reason its taken me so long to get my mpc is beacause i had to find somewhere in the uk that sold the mpc with the new pads. its took me hella long, but i ended up convincing a guy at Hard to find records (htfr.com) to order me one direct from akai, to ensure it would be the latest model with the new pads.

holla at me fo sho if you buyin gear, if i'm interested in the same shyt we both could save money!

so where u reppin? i'm up in tha durty west belfast lol

peace
