I'm sure this is easy, but I just want to see about getting some pointers before attempting this.

I will be getting a new 1000 soon and want to remove my old RAM and place it into my new MPC. I took off the access plate and attempted to remove the RAM, but it seemed pretty secure in its slot. I would've kept trying, but didn't want to break it.

Can anyone that has sucessfully removed the 128 mb RAM give me some pointers on the best way to safely get it out?

I thought lifting up on the top would do the trick, but it started to flex before coming out, so I figured there must be a different way...

Any help is appreciated!

When you look at the ram inside your mpc you will see to two little plastic arms on both sides of the chip. They hold the ram in place. Gently pull both arms outward away from the chip. Then you'll see the chip pop out. When you want to put it back in you just push the chip in and those plastic arms will fall into place again. Hope that helps..
