That is so cool. I've been thinking of getting an 808 machine just for the helluvit and Akai gives us a kit fo' free....whoooopeee! And I'm not even being sarcastic Ya'll! I've been actually playing with the idea of getting some of these old classic drum machines. And now I don't have to.

Why do you think Akai is doing this? I think it's just cross-promotion, but who cares these kits aren't half bad. And at the price (free) they are pretty freaking awesome.

Those kits have been around for looooong time. They are not bad, but I think that there is notthing to be so happy about. You can find those kits on hundreds of other websites, also for free.

Well, so what! I didn't have to go searching for them! I look at it as a nice freebie, and who knows, if akai keeps updating the site they might put a few really nice sounds on there. I think it's fun!
