mpc-1000 with a midi controller

hello.

i'm finally getting my mpc-1000 this week. it's not out here in sweden yet and i've been waiting for three months and i decided to order it from japan. sooo much cheaper than it would be to buy it in sweden.

anyway; i wanna use the mpc-1000 live with a midi controller.

would i be able to assign a knob on the midi controller to the resonance
on one channel in the mpc? another knob might be assigned to the efx send in the mpc and so on...

would this be possible? i guess i'll figure this out myself pretty soon but i thought that i should ask here before i get the machine.

It depends on the controller that you wish to use is with. as far as I know the mpc parameters are preset as to control change commands. If you are using a controller that you can edit the control # transmited by the knobs it should be no problem.
