Headphone/master output only comin in on left side

So when im monitoring my progress on my mpc 1000, i can only hear stuff on the left side of my headphones. and when i track it on pro tools, it only comes out on the left side too. i checked my connections and everything appears to be fine. When i import the sample it appears to be comin in both left and right. Has anyone ever encountered this?

sure you didn't just suddenly go deaf in your right ear??

um... well, it's either your cables or your mpc's output... what else is there to say. maybe you set the panning all the way to the left in the mpc's internal mixer? also, are you running the mpc signal from the outputs on the back or from your headphone jack?
