My pads got the hick ups

About two weeks ago I picked up my Mpc 1000 and after a few days of use a few of the pads would start playing flams instead of single beats. Since I had a warranty I brought it back and exchanged it for a new one only to bring it home and have it do the same thing, mainly on pad 2. Is this normal and should I look for a new drum machine?

And search for the "New Pads" thread... If you have one with older pads, get a refund and uy one with the new pads... There are threads around that show you how to tell the difference, and there is another post where guys list the serial numbers of the MPC's with new pads......


I am not sure your problem is based on the pads themselves, but it sounds like it....

I would look at the programs that you are using. Have DL some kit or something. Is this just from the card/beats that came with it??

I'm pretty sure it's not fromthe card beats because the pads are flamming when I'm using sounds from the internal memory. I'm at school right now so I don't have the serial # I'll get that later. Thanks for the reply.
