Hopefully Buying a 1000

Hello all, I need some advice.

I need something to act as a sequencer/sampler and workstation.
Basically I have a synth that can run as a Module or control keyboard a set of turn tables to scratch on and sample from and an electric double bass for live bass stuff.
Will the 1000 be good enough to record arrange and sequence all the different parts on

Also, I don't have a PC, but is it possible to save a full tune to and connect the 1000 to PC to burn a CD??

Well, it is possible to create whole songs on the MPC1000, BUT it will need a whole lot of RAM, so you really need the 128MB extra memory.

But i'd recommend a recorder with MIDI and a sampler to you, since you need to record a whole song on one machine and you have to record your bass realtime. And a recorder has effects onboard (the MPC too, but they arent that good, i think) Check Roland recorders, they wil do the trick!
