Spoke to Roger Linn at Sounds Expo UK

had a good old chat with him about the new 1000 and the 4000.

he actually has both and says that they are just as good as he left them.
he also uses Logic Audio for sequencing.

it was nice chattin to him about his sequencer...and standing thier listening to him talkin away about how he felt about the mpc's he designed.

First, I like the MPC. But it seems that Roger Linn designed the original MPC over 15 years ago. I would hope that they could get much *better* in that time, rather than just-as-good I'm sure some feel they are, but compared to other products, there are a lot of features missing. I'm not trying to trash Akai on this list, I just wish we could all get better products, which means they'd get more customers....

Roger linn is working on a new product too.

i went on wednesday and roger linn cracked me up man...throughout the day whenever we were in a seminar or trying to listen to a demo at a stall suddely we'd hear old rodge playing his guitar at maximum volume. it was like anytime anyone else would make a noise he'd try to drown them out heh

why change something that doesn't need changing??

then why would roger lynn work on something new? more tools for the creative flow is always welcomed.

He has never made a phrase sampler.
