I feel your pain brother. Anymore I try to hold off purchases untill I am out of the UK, there have been moments though. During one of my more impatient moments I went to Turnkey and tried to buy an XTK after 15 min at the counter, asking for help but being ignored I left. Turnkey cured me.

Sos shows the 1k for more than the 2kxl at some of the UK retailers is it true.

Hi,

I am also getting a bit dissappointed with Turnkey, UK. Last 28th placed the order and still awaiting the MPC1000.

$850 is £449.38

£599 is $1133.01

and

£699 is $1322.16

So it would appear us poor Brits are being ripped off as usual.

i got mine from soundslive with no problems whatsoever so you shouldnt have a problem buying from them if they have the stock.

one word of warning though is to make sure you have a spare kettle-type power lead mine came with the round-two pronged plug on the end. so i just used a spare one from my old computer and its working just fine. however would have sucked to get my mpc1k then not been able to use it right-away as i couldnt plug it in.

Of course, I should have remembered that. Unfortunately I'm not self-employed (yet) and I'm not sure my current employer would be willing to slip an MPC onto their assets register!

Turnkey do take the piss, I got mine last saturday for £599, and I believe that it was already marked up for someone else but the sales guy still sold it to me! As they are all on commision only!

I did see an mpc1000 in Soundcontrol underneath Virgin Records on Oxford street.

Guitar, Amp & Keyboard Centre have them at £599 as well. Seems to be the going rate now for most places.

Soon you will be mine, my pretty!

great, i had just about all the money when it was 599, but we have a long way to the 699, and they can send to scandinavia.

Finally, Turnkey has apologised for a mess-up in ex-vat calculation and will be dispatching it today (after my long waiting from 28th). Got it for Pounds 510.63 (ex-vat) + 100 international shipping.
Always, insist that the billing/UPS courier info (name etc,) is spelt correct since some countries put customs duty and will require you to clear it from the authorities.
