pro tools mpowerd & mpc1000 - export to files (samples)

hi everybody

a little while ago i saw the dvd of disco d and he used pro tools with his mpc1000. He sampled his sounds in pro tools and exported them as files to his mpc..

i've been trying to find out how to do this, but i cant seem to find the right way. anybody care to explain?

this is without bouncing.. pure exporting as files.

You can export selected regions in PT to files on your HD in the following way

1. Select files to be exported in either the edit window, or in the regions list

2. At the top of the regions list you'll se the word 'Regions' with a small arrow pointing down.

3. Click on this - It gives you access to a menu - one of the options here is - Export Selected Regions as Files (or something similar - not at my PT computer at the mo)

4. Select this option and a further box opens asking you to select bit depth etc

5. Choose 44.1 - 16 bit, File type: wav, File format: Stereo interleaved (if it's a stereo file)

6. Then choose a directory to where you want to save the file (if you have your MPC mounted on your computer - choose this as the destination.)

7. Hey presto! - Files exported. Job done.
